DIY Wedding Calligraphy Workshop @ Love Sustained Bridal Studio

Saturday 8th June - 3-6pm at Love Sustained Bridal Studio, Rochford.

Are you a creative Bride or Groom to-be looking to make as much of your wedding decor yourself? This three-hour wedding calligraphy masterclass is intended to teach you the skills to create your very own wedding stationery! There are so many possibilities when using calligraphy for your wedding:

-Adding names to your invitations and addressing envelopes

-Writing your vows beautifully ready to frame in your home

-Place cards, menus and table numbers for your tables

-Making large signage such as table plans and welcome signs

By the end of the workshop and with some home practice, you will have learnt the skills required to create all of the above for your own wedding.

During the masterclass, you will begin by creating basic marks and strokes using a nib and ink then progress to forming the lower and uppercase alphabet. Following this, you will learn how to join letters to form beautiful wedding themed words and phrases. You will also learn the technique of ‘faux calligraphy’ to create larger signage for your wedding. At the end of the workshop, you will create your own a5 ‘cards and gifts’ sign to display at your wedding.

You will receive the Leigh Calligraphy Beginners Kit to take home which includes your very own nib, straight pen holder, pot of black ink, Leigh Calligraphy practise worksheets and layout paper, all inside a personalised bag with your name handwritten in beautiful calligraphy. You will also receive a list of all of my favourite wedding stationery tools for creating all your wedding items.

£75 includes all resources and worksheets, a calligraphy kit to take home, and your DIY cards and gifts sign.

This workshop is best suited to total beginners. It doesn’t matter if you are left or right-handed.
